You might also consider paid Wi-Fi stumbler apps that provide more functionality and slicker GUIs. Some apps (such as Wifi Analyzer shown in the screen shot above) also offer a signal meter function, where you can select a specific access point and then use the meter and beeping sound to help find it. Some apps (like the Wi-Fi Analytics Tool shown in the screen shot above) also have a feature to help you identify which channels are least congested, useful when adding another access point or to see if another channel might be better for existing access points. This is a great way to visualize any access points on the same or overlapping channels.
